Here is the song we sang as a school in our assembly last Friday. Please have a listen and enjoy!
Our topic for the Spring Term is 'Dinosaurs and Dragons'. Please click on the links below for our Topic Overview and Home Activities.
Our writing focus over the next couple of weeks has been an 'explanation' text. We have been learning a piece of writing about why 'dragons' are extinct. The children will then innovate this to explain why 'dinosaurs' are extinct. The video of the class reciting the original text is on the link below.
The links below are the story we are learning for our writing sessions over the next few weeks. We have also attached the story map, in case your child would like to practice at home. We shall be editing this version to improve it, as well as innovating the story into our own version.
Every week, Beech Class will be focusing on a different poem. Initially this will be read to the class, but by the end of the week we may be reciting the poems ourselves. If your child would like to practice the poems we will be learning, please click on the links below.
Our topic for the Autumn Term is Journeys. As it has been fifty years since the famous moon landing, this important journey will be a big focus for us. Early in the Autumn term we also look forward to a trip to Hereford on our local bus. We will visit popular landmarks such as the Cathedral, Black and White House and the Library. The children will also learn about the first flight in history.
