Burghill 10 v. Stretton Sugwas 9

Staunton-on-Wye 12 v. Canon Pyon 21

Burghill 9 v. Canon Pyon 13

Rules:

  • 6 tags before a turnover and no blocking or defending of the tags with hands or the ball.

  • Always two hands on the ball.

  • The tagger must hand the tag back to the opposition before continuing to play and the tagged player must affix it before rejoining play.

  • No 360° spins.

  • Knock-ons and offsides are immediate turnovers.

  • The ball must be placed on the ground for a try, any deliberate dives over the line will see the try disallowed.

  • A discretionary 3 steps after getting tagged before passing/scoring.

  • Players must wear studded boots due to the potentially slippery surfaces and the rapid changes of direction but this is at the discretion of the referee dependent on the day’s weather and playing surface.

  • If there is a clash of kit colours it will be the responsibility of the home team to change/wear bibs, not the visitors.

  • Matches will be two halves of 15mins.

Our league-unique rule to be followed in all fixtures:

The referee counts tags up to 6 as normal however if a team makes a successful pass to a team mate before being tagged they earn a tag back (For example, if a team has been tagged 4 times and the then current player on the ball passes before being tagged the referee will shout “3” to indicate they have earned a tag back.) The countback can only go back to zero. A team cannot earn extra tags by working into negative numbers.
